I ♥ my Job

The week before the opening was very stressful, but if you enjoy what you’re doing then you feel great even if your stressed-out already because you are making a living doing what you love.

inotesorI only had 3 hours of sleep, this was the day we went home 4:00 AM when Sir Ferdie called a meeting regarding the Sprinkler Issue. All of us were very sleepy that day but we were still having fun. I remember Janna saying ” Murag fresh gyapon si Sir Ferdie, murag wala nagbilar” when Sir Ferdie passed by while we were busy printing some docs. :)

Look at Sir Eric and Bonn’s face. This was the time when Sir Ferdie arrived  from Iloilo and we did not know he was coming.  Construction Monitoring was very wicked! Haha.

Our team (APMC) always goes home very early in the morning, like 2:00 or 3:00 AM. Haha. Even now we still go home late but not like before, we would go home like 12:00 or 1:00 AM because we need to meet with our Service Providers (Davao Cavaliers, Blue Collar & Polystar) for updates. And a lot of merchant concerns that we need to address to.

inotesorHarold, Sir Mars, Sir Ferdie and Sir Eric with the Service Providers. Meeting at 2:00 AM.

I love it when Sir Ferdie is around because we have meetings and we go around the mall to inspect if it’s clean, and check if everything is okay.I think I’m the only person who’s happy when his around hahaha, because everybody is kinda afraid of him. He is really scary when he calls a meeting but his really a cool guy if it’s not about work matters and very very smart, no wonder his the associate director in vismin and his still very young.

inotesorCDG Team with Sir Tony Belmonte. Went to LKK to have lunch.

inotesorinotesorWent to SEDA Hotel to check the construction and the source of the leaking on some space located at the the 3rd floor.

inotesorSir Eric and Sir Ferdie. This was the time when they were monitoring the delivery of the machines for Timezone. This was around 1:00 AM already. The people of Timezone had a lot of difficulty bringing the machines because they need to use the Cinderella Staircase and they need to be extra careful not to destroy the stairs and floor.

Stressed & Pressured. Bonn almost gave up! Hahaha. :)

inotesorwith Lorena & Sir Tony.

inotesorwith Sir Ferdie. Even on Sundays we have work.

inotesorSir Mars helping me with the Memo. This is the most difficult part for me, making Memo”s/Circular’s. Hahahaha. But now, I can say I have mastered it. Every now and then APMC sends Circulars to the Merchants.

Day before the opening. Everyone was really stressed this day, had a lot of incidents that happened. Everyone was pressured. Some cried already. This was the time I went home ahead, but that was already 3:00 AM. I was shocked when I arrived at 7:00 AM, Sir Eric, Sir Ferdie and Sir Mars was still wearing the same clothes. I felt guilty because they didn’t went home yet because they need to make sure that everything was okay. I made sure they were able to eat breakfast and drink coffee. While everyone was at the activity center because of the opening ceremony, me and the APMC team was busy with all the Merchants concern, example they were a lot concerns regarding the Merchant’s Aircon, some had leaks in their space. My bosses went home 12:00 noon already because they need to sleep. But a lot of concerns keep on pouring so they came back around 4:00 PM. I was very impressed with my bosses that day, they did not care about the party that was happening,  ”mga engineers gyud”. Hehehe. :)

Had to take a photo op with the Poinsettias. Sir Ferdie was really pressuring me, while talking to the suppliers he was staring at me the whole time. He wants the flowers to be delivered ASAP and he does not care how much it would cost. Called all the suppliers from Bukidnon but they cannot give 500 pots of Poinsettia. Fortunately, Lorena was able to contact Puentispina and was able to deliver the flowers before the opening. :)

inotesorinotesorinotesorinotesorFood was overflowing that day. Food tenants sent food. There were boxes of food from Mcdo, Greenwich, Thai Me Up, KFC, Jollibee, it was really overflowing. As in! :) LOL

inotesorinotesorinotesor

The opening was successful. As per our General Manager Ms. Clavel, Centrio now holds the benchmark as the successful Mall that many tenants opened, not many problems occured, the most people that came during the opening and also high with sales in all Ayala Malls in.

Yehey, I’m so privileged and proud that I’m part with the team. This is the best blessing by far that God has given me. I know that there is no job that is stress free. Even if I go home late at night because we need to have meetings or we need to do something, I don’t complain because I love my job and I’m very happy here. :)

Pre-Operations

inotesor

Pre-Ops days was the best for me. When I got hired, APMC’s temporary office was located at the 6th floor of the BPO Building. Imagine my struggle every time I go up, when I thought I’m almost there to my dismay I’m still at the 3rd floor and my knees are trembling already. Since the elevator is not yet available, we have no choice but to take the stairs (180 steps, ack).

This is the only time we were on business attire since our big boss from Manila was on site visit.

Pre-Ops days.  I miss this. Construction Monitoring Meetings.

inotesor

Napapagod din si Lorenzo. Who wouldn’t be tired if you annotate plans and do AutoCad until 5:00 AM?Hahaha :)

inotesor

Since I was not that busy, I help them in annotating plans. Hehe. Got me thinking that I should have studied Engineering or Architectural instead. But nahhhh, bugok ayo ko sa Math. LOLs.

inotesor

Oh how I miss the Conference Room. This is where we stay most of the time since it’s very cold, we can sleep and chit chat all we want. This is where we annotate plans, discuss what needs to be done, etc.

inotesorinotesorinotesor

Noakan at MABULAY Eatery. It’s the famous eatery behind Water District. For 20 pesos we can have yummy lunch already, all the foods are  affordable. The last time we had our lunch at Mabulay was 2 months ago.

At the GenSet Area. Those two gensets are for the Mall, the one on the right is for Seda Hotel. :)

inotesorinotesor

Happy that I’m one of the people to see the New Cinema in CDO.

I miss my friends from the 6th floor. They are all like my younger brothers and sister, since they all are still young, Emm our Head Architect is only 24 years old, Janna is only 22 years old, Me and Bonn have the same age, the rest ranges from 24-26 years old, while our Property Managers and Associate Director (Vismin) Sir Ferdie are all 30 years old.

inotesorinotesorinotesor

This was the day we went home at 4:00 AM,  Sir Ferdie just arrived from Iloilo and called an Emergency Meeting. Some of the team already went home, and was asked if they can come back again since they need to discuss about the Sprinkler System and do Construction Monitoring. This was October 26, 2012 since it was Gwen’s and my Papa’s Birthday.inotesorinotesor

Everybody was assigned to check each space if the Merchants sprinkler has been installed and it was almost midnight so they have to be escorted by our Security. I was there making sure that everybody had something to eat, made coffee as well since some of them were very sleepy. It was a lot of fun actually. Not to mention that we need to report at 8:00 AM later that day. Haha.  :)

inotesorinotesor

I learned a lot about construction since all of them are Engineers and Architects. Sometimes I help them annotate plans which I really really love or I join them when they go on site and check the tenants space. I have huge respect now for construction workers since they’re job is not very easy.

inotesor

The owners need to submit a lot of requirements before they can start construction on their spaces. Met a lot of contractors, and Managers/Workers who I still see here in the Mall.

inotesorinotesor

Emms and Janna busy explaining again about archi stuff… They would always joke that their like Teachers . :)

inotesor

Those were the best days for me, we can act crazy anytime we want since our bosses were not around most of the time. I miss eating at Mabulay Eatery, hahaha! I miss going home late, the meetings for construction monitoring. I feel so privileged to have been part of the construction of this New Mall. All of us can’t believe the outcome now, what was before all dust, stones, unfurnished walls/floors, and too many to mention… Hehehe…  is one of the visited Malls in CDO now. :)

inotesor

I miss everybody. Emm already went home to Manila after staying here in CDO for almost a year. Gwen resigned also since she has plans going abroad. The rest are still here but we seldom see each other since Me, Jufel, Sir Eric and Bonn (APMC Team) transferred to the Admin Office. But some of them will say goodbye also since there contract is about to end and they will transfer to a different project. I hate goodbyes, but I’m really glad I met true and real friends in Centrio. :)

Thank You for a Great Year

2012 has been an unforgettable year for me. It’s amazing to think how quickly time passes. Maybe I was just too busy for the past months that I just realized that it’s the last day of the year. I am thinking back on how my year went and I can say that 2012 was full of surprises for me. It has been a year of new beginnings. Went through a lot, got a new job which I really² love, knew who my true/real friends are, travelled to different places locally with friends, and too many to mention. Lol. =)

Loving today is what makes me feel confident about what tomorrow holds. That comes from acceptance of what there is, and releasing what can never be. I sincerely love my life because I know how much God has blessed me with. That’s why I’ve learned to forget about what’s not here & embrace all that is, and all that will be.

TO THE ONE GOD HAS DESTINED FOR ME

I’m wondering at this very moment if you’re thinking of me, if like me, you are also wondering what is taking us too long to find each other. Many times, I thought I finally found you, only to be disillusioned by the fact that my wait has not yet ended. I get up each morning, hoping, dreaming, longing to meet you.

I am thinking of how we will meet, would it be as romantic as the ones I saw in movies? Or is it possible that I have known you all my life but yet we have to realize that we are really meant for each other? Oh how I wish you were here right now because you are the only one who has the answer to all my questions.

Sometimes I ask myself if I have ever really known “love”. I do not have the answer to that question either but I believe that, more often than not, we will never really know what love is until we find the right person…and since I have not found you yet, then maybe I do not really know what love is!

You just don’t know how often I dream of finally knowing what it feels like to be in your arms. Even at this very moment I am imagining how you will simply sweep me off my feet! Perhaps your smile or your eyes would draw me to you, or maybe even how you manage to make me laugh with your own silly little ways.

I don’t really know for sure but I’m praying that God will help me recognize you when the right time comes. I think of all the pain I have gone through in the past and of how much I cried since the day I begun my search. I just wanted you to know that I’m clinging into my vision of the beautiful life ahead of me…the life I shall spend with you. In my mind and in my heart, I know you’re worth all the pain and sacrifice.

After all, the tears have become part of my life and I believe they are slowly washing away my flaws so that I would become perfect, not perfect in its truest sense, but perfect…for YOU. I wonder if you’ve gone through so many pains as well, I wonder if you’ve been hurt so many times along the journey. But my dearest one, please don’t ever give up because I’m right here…patiently waiting for you. I assure you that when we finally find each other I would slowly heal those wounds by my love.

At night, I would look out my window and stare at the beautiful sky, hoping that somehow you are also looking up and wondering about me. I utter a silent prayer and send all my cries in heavens above thinking that in time they would reach you.

And when I feel impatient, I just close my eyes and believe that you are on your way and that you are longing to see me as well. It is funny but when I finally fall asleep, it is still you that I think of, for you are always in my dreams. It seems that, for now, that is the only place where I can hold on to you, long enough to tell you how much I love you. In my dreams, you would kiss away my fears and wrap me with your arms of love. And this, all the more, makes me want to wake up and face the new day ahead with the hope that soon enough, you would no longer be a dream but a reality and once again I’m assured that you are worth the wait. And when that time comes, everything will fall into its place, just as I had imagined, just as I had thought it would be. By then, I would simply look back and smile at all that I have gone through, in spite of the pain and amidst the simple joys of life…and I would be very thankful because they all lead me to you.

In the meantime, take care of yourself for me. Hold on to our dream and don’t even think of letting go. Believe in your heart that we will find each other no matter what happens. God has planned the course and it’s up to us to follow the directions. Don’t worry; don’t be afraid of getting lost, God saw to it that all roads no matter what you choose to follow, lead to me.

Annual Get Together

Every Fiesta Fritz, Excy, Rhoda and I have our annual get together. It started last August 2010. Fritz called me and Excy and said that he will be home for fiesta since his working in Cebu already. We called Rhoda to join us. We had our lunch at Siam and had our desserts at Candy’s. A year after, Fritz called us again and said that he will be home in time for the fiesta again. So , we had our dinner at Candy’s. That year was a bit special because sitting at the next table was Atty. Tamano, he is so handsome in person. It was funny also because me and the girls went to the washroom and while we were waiting outside Atty. Tamano came in and waited also. We were to shy to ask him for a photo op but he smiled at us. I guess he can sense that we wanted to have a picture with him. Hehehe. This year, we had our dinner at Candy’s again and we “chilled”at Naicha since the ambiance was so perfect. Every year I look forward to this event because I know that I will have fun. Specially since Fritz is around daghan gyud kanchaw plus rhoda’s loud laughter. :)

Meet Krizzy and Boy Abunda. :)

August 2010. Our 1st fiesta get together. I can’t find 2011′s pic hehehe. I’ll post it as soon as I find it. :)
